The Storm digs deep!

Helene and I returned to Cyprus yesterday afternoon. We had been travelling around doing coaching and seminars for a couple of months. Now it is time to settle here again and prepare for our Cyprus trainings this fall. Monday 20^th October will Helene start her master class: The Enneagram in coaching and theraphy. And then we move on with HR Coach Module, NLP Coaching Master and NLP Coaching Practitioner.

It was good to land in Larnaca Airport and come back to Lordos Beach Hotel again. We had the feeling of: Finally home! The temperature is still high and the sea warm so Cyprus had a lot of tourists at this time of the year. There has been some thunderstorms recently and that happens from time to time at this time of the year.

Yesterday night we had such a storm. It was a real thunderstorm trying to “break the glass” to the rooms – fortunately with no result.  

The storm lowered during the night and I had my usual walk this morning. Passing the pools at the hotel I could see the sun beds at the bottom of the pools – it had really been a heavy sweeping storm.

That made me think of this as a metaphor of what is going on in the world to day. We have a really heavy sweeping storm and it is digging very deep. It is raising a lot of questions: What will be the result of the climate change and the pollution? Have we seen the bottom of the financial crises or have we still the worst ahead? When can we go back to good old business and continue the big gamble on the stock markets?

Well if we look at this from a spiritual point of view we may realise that there is a change in the ruling set of values these days. It seems as if the spiritual energies want us to focus on opening the heart and focus on sharing with others. And it also looks as if people who turn their back to that refuse that may face a more difficult time.

Watching the gamble on the stock markets I can´t help asking myself “is it OK to “play poker” with other peoples jobs”? We don’t even ask the question any more – it has been “normal” for such a  long time.

I dont know for sure what will happen but my guess is that the sweeping storm will fulfil its job whether we like it or not – so why should we not get in touch with the spiritual intention and adjust our way of living to that? That could create a way back to an easier life again.
