The end of an amazing decade 31st December 2009!
I walked along the beach this morning in Cyprus. It was an amazing morning. Totally clear sky. Rising temperature – we actually went up to 20 degree to day. The sea was quiet – almost as if it was whispering about another time to come.
It was time to look back to the most fantastic decade in the history of mankind. What did we get? We have got world wide terrorism and the so called: War against terrorism. And by fighting this war – most governments have actually been limiting the rights of their citizens. We
also got worldwide web – or we could say that - www – grew up during this decade and really become what it was supposed to be: The communication network linking individuals together all over the world. We have seen how this has created a lot of problems to governments which try to have a tight control with their citizens. www – seems to create more and more freedom for individuals to express themselves.
We have had the breakdown of the world economy which apparently seems to have made people think about if they really need all those “useless” products. Surveys in more and more countries seem to show a tendency: More people don’t want to buy all that “crap” any more.
Is that good or bad? Well it depends of the eyes looking – however if we could ask “Mother Earth” she would probably say: “Finally did somebody wake up”.
I can remember 40 years ago – back in the 60-ties and 70-ties. If somebody tried to talk about being “green” at that time – they would probably be speaking to themselves. We have just had a very big meeting in Copenhagen discussing “How to save the Earth” by cutting down on Co2. Well! The conclusion was poor – at least some people say. However it seems obvious that millions of people actually are concerned about this matter.
I read recently that Denmark will be ready to supply a big number of electric cars with a network of power stations in 2011. This count for a small country as Denmark; it will count for the rest of the world within soon. So if we could hear “Mother Earth” she would probably say: “Finally did somebody wake up”.
It has been a decade of duality. Opponents have been speaking even harsher against each other. Black has become more black and white even more white. Within the Mayan Calendar it is called the “Galactic Underworld” and confrontation is part of it – well reality has confirmed that. If the Mayan Calendar has been right so far – it may also be right in the future – so what can we expect?
Probably something different from the movie “2012 playing right now. We will have more volcano eruptions and earthquakes – no doubt. Do we have a polar shift? Who knows! What I find much more important is the shift in consciousness of mankind which seems to take place right now and will increase for the time to come. That seems to lead us to a kind of uniting with the Universe – the old idea that in some way we are all at one! It is easy to read about in a book – however realising this at a level where we start to live from it will change us forever.
I mean if the “enemy soldier” who the young soldier meets on the battlefield is a “part” of him/her self there will be no battle – who would like to kill oneself? Think about for a moment what will happen in the very moment most of us realise that? It will influence every part of our life and “Mother Earth” will probably say to herself: “Finally did they wake up”.
