Talking to your spirit or being your own coach - September 9th
We had an excellent holistic training in Norway. The mountains were breath taking like always and the indoor/outdoor concept on those trainings works great. After this training I went to the Faroe Islands to promote my NLP Practitioner training in October and do some sessions. I arrived in the most beautiful sunshine followed by storm during my stay and back to sunshine at departure. Is that a metaphor for my relation to those islands? Well anyhow I like to be there although it is a small market.

Back in Denmark I had may first presentation on my new evening talk: “Talking to your spirit” a 2 hours talk on my ideas of body, mind and spirit. I wonder if that will be the new way of doing coaching. Coaching is a method for people to find their own answers for what to do. Coaching demands a coach to ask the questions and then the answers appear.

How would it be if we were connected strong enough to the source where the answers come from? In that situation we don’t need the coach. We would be our own coach so to say. That is what I talk about those evenings – being your own coach! In our daily life our mind makes a lot of “noise”. It creates pictures inside. It creates sounds and internal dialog. And it creates body feelings. We can call that communication or we can call it noise from the personality. To my experience something is going on behind that “noise”. If we quiet this noise down we may be able to find the tiny voice behind it. A much more sensible and beautiful voice coming from our true mind or higher self.

This is that part of us which truly know who we are at the deepest level. This is the part of us able to offer advice from the heart – advice in which we can trust. The part which knows what is right or wrong to us. When we establish communication to that part we really don’t need our external coach any more. First of all you need to quiet the mind – you do that with meditation. Sitting in a relaxed position with your eyes closed. The mind will continue with a lot of communication and you just let that pass. You simply withdraw your attention to somewhere behind this communication and become the observer of pictures, sounds, feelings and internal dialog – you are not the mind – you become the observer of the mind.

This needs to be trained especially if you have got used have a lot of noise inside yourself. And when you have trained that for a while and can quiet the mind down – you can start to ask questions to you higher mind. You can ask any question of what to do and listen for the response. This can be in different form and may not come back immediately. It can be pictures or dreams. It can be sentences which means auditory. It can also be feelings or a kind of just knowing what is right. I recommend to just start to do this and find you personal way for communication with your higher self.
