It is not my fault!November 29th, Hornbaek - Denmark!
Helene and
I arrived to Denmark
a couple of days ago and have been busy with meetings, sessions and talks since
arrival. To day is Saturday and we are overlooking the Sea sitting in our
rented holiday apartment in Hornbaek. Loo..ong morning with time for coffee, newspapers
and the very special Danish so-called “hygge” a widely used expression meaning
something like being together in a cosy atmosphere.
The weather
is typical for the season – shadows almost touching the ground – temperature
just a few degrees and mist in the air, a day were the sun refuses to rise –
very, very different from Cyprus.
Helene did
a splendid presentation on The Enneagram yesterday in Copenhagen. This personality model is big in Denmark
and it is totally about understanding yourself and accepting others the way
they are – This seems to be the big issue between people on the Earth these
days – accepting each other the way we are. And way is it like that? Why can
some of us accept each other and why does it seem as if some people create
trouble all the time?
Well!
Looking from a spiritual point of view there is nothing peculiar about it. We
are living in extraordinary times these days. We are living in times where
something very extraordinary is about to happen. Some people talk about the
year 2012 as a year of disaster – the destruction of Mankind,
punishment
from God. Some talk of this year as a year of transformation. Some talk of the
return of Christ. Some talk of Ascension and some talk of the start of a new
golden age. I don’t know what is about to happen – but I can feel its arrival!
Something is in the air. I can feel that we are on the brink of a big change!
So question
is what can we – mankind - do to turn this opportunity it into the positive
direction? I think the answer to that is very simple. We can empower ourselves.
How do we do that? We simply take responsibility to what happens in our life. When
I went into self development business one of the first ideas I met was that of:
Cause or Effect?
This is a
basic assumption behind personal development – Are we creating our own life or
are we an effect of what is going on.
Whenever we
blame someone for something negative in our life, we also transfer some of our
energy to that person. In other words we drain our self for the most valuable
in our life – our own creative power. And we start to attract even more of the
same negative stuff. Then we blame even more and attract even more. A spiral
going all the way down!
Instead I
suggest to meet a negative event in your life by saying, “how did I attract
that?”Which beliefs must exist in my
mind to make this “negative” thing happen? What internal part of me is behind
that? So the rule is simple: Don’t look for failures outside your self – look
into yourself and
identify
what is responsible inside your self. And then comes the important part: Change
the internal part, belief, habit etc. and it will not happen again! The
Enneagram and NLP can provide us with all the tools to do this.
This can
seem like magic and it is very simple: We are responsible for our own life and
by knowing that, we can start living like that and we can start empowering
ourselves. If enough of us do this in these next couple of years we may be able
to take advantage of this magic year 2012 and why not – there is something in
the air!
