How accurate can
predictions become? 24th March, Copenhagen
A Danish
business paper asked in the middle of 2007 some financial experts to give a
qualified guess about the future situation in the stock markets in 2008.
They all
predicted that the development would be an increase – at least slightly in
2008.
As we all
know it turned out differently with a fall at about 25% in the stock markets. How
could they be so wrong with this prediction – they were well established
experts with long experience of economy?
In 2003
“The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness” was published –
written by the Swede Carl Johan Calleman who for years has been studying this
prophetic calendar. In Calleman's interpretation of the Mayan Calendar he tells
about the period January 1999 – October 2011 and calls this “The Galactic
period”. According to this period it will be a very dualistic period with a
confrontation between the thinking in East and in West. There will possibly be
an ongoing military confrontation as well. It will also be a period with
expansion in new technology. The period is also about healing and spirituality
– the rediscovery of the spirit of Man.
This
prophetic spiritual calendar is created by the Mayans more than a thousand
years ago, and seems to describe a kind of what could be called “training
program for Humanity”. It places a lot of very important events in our history
in their mathematical positions in the calendar, and explains why they took place
at the time they actually did.
According
to the Calendar the period November 2007 to November 2008 is a very special
period.
This year
is a kind of “wakeup call” for those who have not realised the blowing of new
winds – the change into other values. Some people would call this change a move
from the more egotistic solar plexus to the loving and caring heart. Calleman
predicts in his book that we will probably see a kind of breakdown for world
economy in this year – well! Isn’t that what we are actually seeing right now?
So how
accurate can predictions be? Pretty accurate– but we need to look for them in
the right places, it seems. Maybe it is correct that the main crisis we have is
a spiritual crisis. That we have forgotten or lost our connection to the spirit,
and still believe that it is possible to stick to materialistic values in the this
'Galactic period' of time.
What I find
interesting is, that it seems as if the Mayan Calendar is correct, and if so,
the predictions further out in the future could be true too also! Well, the
calendar seems to end in 2011 or 2012 with a kind of collective breakthrough
for the human mind. I do not know for sure what this means – I guess it will be
about the rediscovery of the personal contact to the spirit. Where will that
take us? Good question! Most of us will probably let go of materialistic values
and take responsibility for our brother next door. That will lead to a change
of how we look at money, and how we arrange our financial systems. It may also
stop wars at least the way we know them, etc. It seems almost impossible to
imagine that kind of world, and especially that the breakthrough may take place
in 2011 or 2012 – the realization may take a longer timer afterwards.
And still
it leaves me with the thought that if the rest of the calendar's predictions
are also true, we may face a Golden Age again….
